How to easily measure your serve speed?

Our take on how to easily measure, or perhaps we should say estimate, your serve speed? Still, it's a great way to quickly and easily see how fast you're serving and compare yourself to the pros.

This method has been tested again and again with many different players at different venues and always gives the same result. If you can get the ball to bounce in 12 frames your serve is super awesome fast (ie. very close to 200 km/h or 125 mph). That doesn't mean it's as accurate and consistent as the top pros, but hey it's still a great accomplishment, so you should give yourself a pat on the back. In fact 15 frames is pretty darn good for a club player. The fastest serve I have measured at our club was 14 frames and it was very difficult to return. Let us know how you get on in the comments below!
